When you arrive at the lobby you may think you are at the louvre !!! This is a luxury hotel by any standards. I stayed several nights during the last canton fair and was overwhelmed by the staff desire to serve you. My room at the main building was excellent as well as the bathroon.
It looks like a resort with little lakes and beautiful gardens.
With so much food offered at breakfast, included in the price, you dont need to worry about lunch.

If you have the opprotunity, you should stay at The Phoenix. The hotel is part of a sprawling gated resort with tranquil lakes and trees, even birds. The room was truly huge and the air conditioning was very welcome (I had recently stayed in a too-hot room). I have never seen such a huge shower! I had a balcony too.

More photos I stayed here one night as part of a tour. The hotel is gorgeous. The lobby area very beautiful especially the lobby ceiling and the Christmas decorations.
We were upgraded. The room was huge, easily triple the size of my hotel room in HK. The beds were large and very comfortable. The TV has many channels, and I am glad it even has Hong Kong's TVB channels. Nice touch for some of us from HK. The bathroom was over-sized. In addition to the over-sized bath tub, there is also a high-tech shower. There are many options: overhead, hand-held, back massage, foot soak, and even music. The best shower I ever had.

This hotel is 40 minutes from both Canton Fair complexes with shuttles in the morning and afternoon. It has a beautiful cathedral hall and dome. Main restaurant food is not so hot, but the outdoor bbq is good and the Chinese restaurant has a couple of good dishes. My room attendant was above and beyond in keeping the room quality, the dining room help tries very hard.
English is really a problem for them. Make sure you have them (or a taxi) take you to the restaurant row where you'll find several different styles of chinese cooking (I choose the Sezchuan, excellent). I would recommend for meetings, but not for the businessman travelor, good for couple or family.
Pool, gym, sauna, spa and cable/internet all excellent.

i chose this hotel as i want go to canton fair, althouth it is 20km from pazhou,but their bus take the highway,very quick.There is a beautiful veranda in deluxe room, very nice.

I had been in the hotel for 5 days and my overall experience there was very nice. The room was spacious with amenities like mini bar, refrigerator, electronic safe, coffee maker, etc. The room had internet connection also and the bandwidth was quite good. There were a couple of tourist guide books in the room which were quite informative. There was also a spacious balcony with nice view outside. The bathroom was also spacious, with shower and bath tub. The bathroom had 24 hour hot water supply. The hotel was little away from the Guangzhou city and because of this, the ambient was quite and peaceful. Complimentary breakfast is offered, which offers a wide variety of food items. The cleanliness of the room and the hotel in general was excellent. The hotel has good connectivity to the city by means of buses and taxis. There is a transportation centre near the hotel, to which there are frequent shuttle buses operate. There is big supermarket and also there are other small shops, fruit and vegetable market, banks, etc. in the transportation centre.

It's a good hotel with excellent service. But it's too far away from the city center. So it's not convenient to go shopping. But the rooms are good. And staff is helpful.
